Hi Bret,

Thanks for the detailed guide. My son and I built our first wind generator over two weekends and I must say how much we enjoyed doing the project together.

Your step by step instructions certainly made the whole building process very easy. I was totally surprised at what we were able to find to make the generator without spending a lot of money. I would say to others to take your advice and have the "HUB" made by an engineering workshop as it only cost me $10. Saves a lot of stress and time.

My son and his friend did the painting and when I have more time I will send you the photo of the wind generator spinning around above the shed. I have a 12 volt system in the shed and now the wind generator, together with the batteries and the inverter operates all the lights.

Thanks again

Hi Bret

Hope you're in good health, I am sitting off the coast of Fiji using the power from your wind turbine sending emails to my friends.
My wife is also happy to be able to use her hair dryer from the a.c. power system you installed.
Thank you for being so helpful.
peter
PS. the position of the turbine is out of the way.

Hi Bret,

I have just completed making my own solar panels (2x50 watt) and mounted the solar panels on the roof of the shed. The battery in the boat is always charged.
Great! no more flat batteries when I go to use the boat.
Thanks

Hi Bret,

Thanks, I made a folding solar panel following your illustrated guide, 40 watts on each side and when folded will fit into the boot, I take the solar panel with me camping and the panel charges the storage battery during the daylight hours and then runs the power esky and lights at night. I would highly recommend any one thinking about running power while away, then this manual is for you!
I found the manual to be easy to follow.
Bret, I used the aluminium angle and riveted the two together the same way you described in the manual
Thanks again,

Hi Bret,

What made this guide different from the others was the step by step instructions and the attention to detail. The guide showed me ways to do everything on a small budget that I could afford. I recommended the site to my friends. It contained the information I needed to build a wind power windmill and home solar panels and now I make enough power for my house and on a sunny day I can actually see the meter going backwards which means I get credited with the power.
I was able to put together a system that actually works and produces power every day. Following the detailed guide I made a small wind power windmill supplying [free] power to my water pump on the back paddock. - The detailed solar panel diagrams made it very easy and helped me to understand connecting the solar cells together.
Thanks again,

Hi Bret,

Congratulations on the fantastic manuals. I decided to purchase the manuals for our school project. The students welcomed the idea of creating their own diy solar power, it certainly showed by the work they put into the project. From your details where to get the solar cells cheaply, they sorted out the reasonable cells to use. Now I have been asked to make another panel this time a 100 watt panel.
The students have taken the whole project seriously.
In the last couple of days I have been asked could they build a windmill. I have put three students in charge and they are reading through your manual. I will let you know how things work out.
